Petr Pomkla is a renowned Czech Flutist, Soloist and Chamber Musician. He is the First Flutist of the Brno Philharmonic.<\/p>\nAs a soloist he performs with numerous orchestras such as the Brno Philharmonic Orchestra, Prague Symphony Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra of Hradec Kr\u00e1lov\u00e9, Moravian Philharmonic Olomouc, Philharmony Zl\u00edn and North Czech Philharmonic Teplice.
\nIn addition he performs on regular basis with the Suk Chamber Orchestra,\nBarocco sempre giovane Orchestra, the Musici de Praga Orchestra, Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra of South Bohemia, the Moravian Chamber Orchestra,
\nthe Czech Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra and the Orchestra of the Yehudi Menuhin Foundation (Paris). \n
Petr Pomkla graduated from the Brno Conservatoire and earned his Master\u2019s degree at the Jan\u00e1\u010dek Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno, Czech Republic. Subsequently he studied at l\u2019Ecole Normale de musique de Paris, France and at music academies in Nice and Z\u00fcrich. His Professors include Alain Marion, Christian Larde and Alexander Magnin.<\/p>\n
He was a member of the Orchestre de Jeunes de toute l\u2019Europe (Paris) and the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra (Vienna). <\/p>\n
Since 1992 he has been appointed the First Flutist of the Brno Philharmonic Orchestra and the Czech Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra. Since 2012 he plays the First Flute in the world-known Kremerata Baltica. <\/p>\n
Mr. Pomkla performs often chamber music. His recitals include programmes with guitar, harp, piano and string quartet.<\/p>\n
He had been also teaching for many years at the Jan\u00e1\u010dek Academy of Music and Performing Arts, later being appointed as Professor of Flute at the Music Conservatoire in Olomouc, Moravia.<\/p>\n
Petr Pomkla has performed with orchestras at music festivals in many European countries, Southeast Asia and Japan and as a soloist and chamber music player at festivals all over the world including Bayreuth, Kuhmo, Malaga, Tokio, Kawasaki, Vitoria, Lu\u00e7on, Saumur, Murten but also Prague, Brno, Hukvaldy and Ostrava, to name just a few.<\/p>\n\t
